The Novedades was inaugurated as a theater in 1884.Continued 1910 as a cinema and was totaly destroyed thru a bomb during the civilwar in 1938. In a new building it reopened on the 21. of april it´s doors. Concipiteted as a grec anphitheater with 1676 seats, it rises to enormes hights. At the last seating rows the spectatur can only see the stage at an impossible angle. The place is rented by the Grup Balañà and is used in a dubble function; sa theater as well as cinema.
