The German painter Erwin Bechtold, who was awarded the FAD Prize for the interior design of the bookstore Tècnica Estrangera in 1960 (the store no longer exists today), conceived the Ancora y Delfín bookstore back in 1956. This store, which still looks modern today with its long, bright interior, accessible from two entrances, contains not only fiction but a large assortment of books about art, architecture, design and photography by Spanish and foreign publishing houses.
